Assignment November 17th

Good Morning,

You have two blogs to do today, and then you need to go to last week's post and finish those.

Blog #1 - Clear Creek

Write two paragraphs about Clear Creek.  This is informational writing, so like your nonfiction books, these paragraphs should be informative. The first paragraph needs to describe the environment and changes you noticed.  The second paragraph needs to talk about things you found out there.  You could describe the leaves, the hill that you guys turned into a slide, the habitats, the scat, the foot prints, or anything else you saw.  Make sure you are descriptive and use your five senses.

Blog #2 - Thankful

This blog is all about what you are thankful for in your life.  I want you to write at least three claims with evidence about people, places, or things that you are thankful for.

  • I am thankful for each of you because you are amazing and you continue to persevere to learn new things.
  • I am thankful for the staff at Woodrow Wilson because they are always supportive and fun.
  • I am thankful for Mr. Nabors because he makes me laugh and helps me enjoy life.
I hope you have a wonderful week off!  I will miss you!

Happy Blogging!

Assignment November 10th

Good Morning

Today we have three blogs to complete

1.)   Our Turkey Simile poem
Title should be the name of your Turkey
Tim the Turkey is…
A reader like my fourth grade students
As serious as Mrs. Nabors about homework
Interested in many different things like a librarian
As quiet as a mouse hiding from his predator

By Mrs. Nabors

2.) Title:  November Acrostic

Writers, today you will use your writing notebook to write an November Acrostic.  You may use the words: Turkey, Thanksgiving, November,or another one if you think of a great one that is about November.  Mrs. Nabors has November word lists on the back counter.  However, don't use a word if you don't know the meaning.

Typing hints:
  • You will need to press the enter key to take you down to the next line.
  • After you have typed your poem, you may add clip art.  Don't forget to give credit at the bottom of the post to the website where you got your pictures.

3.) Personal Narrative
type your narrative that you wrote during the second six weeks into a blog.  Edit to be sure that each sentence passes the PSST! test.

4.)  Free Write
You may blog about anything that you would like to share!  It can be a post about your reading life, a slice of your life, etc.

Bloggers, I love reading your words!
